Inspired by the Vietnamese áo dài, the straight cut tunics are more commonly known as kurtees in India. Just like the áo dài, a kimkara tunic is designed to have a figure-hugging fit at the top and a long flowy bottom with high slits, almost to your waist to accentuate those feminine curves. This tunic speaks a story of the forest with light pink cherry blossoms and a beautiful hand embroidered neckline.
Pair it with pants, palazzos, dhoti or trousers. Complete the look with your comfortable jutties or your high stilettoes.
About the Art
By Upasana Mishra
The crisscrossing branches of the forest, a green leaf or two, the silhouette of a person somewhere in the background and the cherry blossoms in full bloom – the complete story comes alive in this piece of art. My personal favorite are the little flowers on the cuffs of the sleeves.
Opt for a different style neckline/ collar. Discuss with us the embroidery options to create something unique.
